PQView Web allows events to be manually tagged by engineer. These are known as “system events”. Can we search on the details which are manually entered?
Both sags and swells are listed as RMS variations in PQView event list. In ESS they are actually listed as sags or swells. Is there a plan to have PQView differentiate between the two?
System > Edit sites allows UTC offset and DST to be set for each monitor. Do these settings have any effect on the event timestamp, or are they only labels and nothing more?
One of PA’s customers has their own SMS gateway. A .txt file containing the alert message and recipient’s phone number has to be created. The system monitors a folder, and when this .txt file is copied to the folder, the system sends an SMS based on the contents of the .txt file. Does PQView have the capability to generate such a .txt file whenever there is an alert?
Besides using an email to SMS service, how else is it possible for PQView to generate an alert? (i.e. direct connection to a GMS modem, air card, etc.)
What ION models can be read directly by PQDMS?
We connected both Encore 61000 and HDPQ DataNode connected to PQView during our demo to Singapore Power Grid. The 61000 showed events timestamped in UTC, but HDPQ-DN showed in local time. The event timestamps come from the monitor’s clock setting, but are shown in local time? How is local time calculated, from the UTC offset in the monitor, of from the UTC offset in the PQDMS computer?
